Acer America today has announced
its newest notebook in its Ferrari line of notebooks, the Ferrari
3400. Featuring a Mobile AMD Athlon 64 3000+, the notebook combines
the market strength of three major brands, Acer, AMD and Ferrari.
"In most markets a high performance exclusive
product that is accessible to mainstream consumers is virtually
impossible to create," said Rob Enderle, Principal Analyst
for the Enderle Group. "Acer, AMD and Ferrari continue to showcase
that in the laptop market this unique combination, while far from
common, is possible. This is what makes the Ferrari 3400 such a
fantastic system and one of my own personal favorite laptop products."
The unit features a slim and lightweight chassis
in grey and Ferrari red. A 15" SXGA+ (1400x1050) display, 512MB
of DDR333 SDRAM (upgradeable to 2GB) and an ATI Mobility RADEON
9700 graphics card with 128MB of DDR memory round out the system's
main specs.
The Ferrari 3400 is available through Acer's authorized
resellers and retail outlets and starts at approximately $2299. |
