Day 3 of testing - Mugello - 2nd October 20:55pm GMT

Circuit: Autodromo del Mugello, 5.245 km - short course, 2.760 km
Drivers: Luca Badoer and Michael Schumacher
Car: F2003-GA
Weather: air temperature 17/19 °C, track temperature 26/32 °C, Cloudy and sunny.

Third day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. At the Mugello circuit, Luca Badoer and Michael Schumacher took to the track. Once again, the day’s technical programme centred on tyre testing, electronics and set-up work for the forthcoming Japanese Grand Prix.

Badoer covered a total of 81 laps, the quickest in 1.22.468. Schumacher did 129 laps with a best time of 1.22.001, getting through the planned programme one day ahead of schedule.

"We would like to do as much as we can because we really want a fifth constructors' title in a row for Ferrari," Schumacher said. "I'm not particularly concerned for the next race, but I'll never forgive myself if we don't do all the things we could do. We just have to do all the work we need to do for Suzuka."

Testing continues at Mugello tomorrow, when Luca Badoer will once again be joined by Felipe Massa.
