Michael
Schumacher appeared on the German TV channel ZDF last week and for
most of the European audience then its pretty difficult to translate
his native speaking German accent into English. I have done my best
to translate it into English. Its not word from word but its a break
down of what Michael talked about during the show.
He has not decided yet when he will retire from
Formula 1 racing - but afterwards he will first take time out to
spend it with his family.
He lives in Switzerland because the people respect
his privacy and he and his family can live their own lives without
being disturbed by the press or fans.
His children do spend a couple of minutes looking
at Michael racing - but they are much more interested in other things.
After his accident in Silverstone Gina-Maria said
to him that she will buy him better brakes for his car.
When he is at home he can recover well and very
fast by sharing his time with his family and friends.
He does not plan to go back to Germany, but he would
never say "never again" because he does not know what
the future will bring.
He does not want Gina-Maria and Mick to be an F1-driver
because they would always be measured to him and that would be hard
for a young person. They are entitled to do whatever they want.
He would like to see more women in motorsport but
it seems to be that there is still old-fashioned thinking about
women in a race car. |
