World champion Michael Schumacher
said on Sunday he felt like he was "still in one piece"
after a heavy crash in testing three days ago.
"It'll take more than that to finish me off,"
Schumacher told reporters after demonstrating his driving skills
in a sports car at a "Ferrari Day" event at the Nuerburgring
circuit.
"I'm actually feeling fine," added Schumacher,
who spun and hit the barriers while testing at Monza in Italy on
Thursday while travelling at around 300 kph.
His Ferrari was destroyed in the crash that was
caused by an apparent tyre failure.
"As you can see yourself, it looks like I'm
still in one piece," Schumacher said. "Certainly, it was
a bit of a shock at first. I rested a bit and lay down, but otherwise
nothing special happened. I don't expect any lasting damage." |
