Schumi finds Magny Cours a challenge - 11th July 21:49pm GMT

Following his win at the United States Grand Prix, Michael Schumacher is preparing for a new challenge, this time at Magny-Cours.

"The nature and tranquillity of this rural and agricultural area of France has always enchanted me", confessed Michael. "I love driving around here. I also like the track as it is quite demanding and varied. It is not an easy circuit owing to the high temperatures that often characterise races here. This makes Grand Prixs even harder". Magny-Cours, despite its calm appearance, has some traps: "We have noticed that the surface becomes slippery as the temperature rises", revealed the Ferrari driver. "We have to take the differences in the level of grip into consideration". "As for the other races, we have prepared well for Magny-Cours", concluded the seven-time champion. "As we know, the gap to Alonso is 19 points and we want to make this up. The second part of the race will be a dash to the title. I have certainly not given up hope; on the contrary, the challenge of a making up the gap will bring out the best in us".
