Michael Schumacher is investing 24 million euros worth of the fortune he’s amassed from motor racing in a dream home on the shores of Lake Leman in Switzerland.
The seven-time Formula One champion’s 24-room villa features a 15 metre-high medieval tower, a 30-seater cinema, swimming pool, gym, and a private beach, Saturday’s edition of Bild reported. “It’s an extraordinary pleasure to build a home like this,” the Ferrari ace told the newspaper. “But it’s also very stressful,” added the 36-year-old Schumacher who set up home in Switzerland several years ago for tax reasons.
‘Chateau Schumi’ as the construction is dubbed in the press has parking space for 25 cars – including inevitably a few Ferraris – and a 63 metre room to house the owner’s extensive collection of trophies. |
