The King of Malaysia, Yang di-Pertuan Agong XII, made a private visit to Ferrari today. The Malaysian Ambassador to Italy and the Minister of Energy and Communication also formed part of the delegation.

The visit began at 11.30 with the welcome of the vice-president, Pierro Ferrari, and the Director General of Industrial Relations, Amedeo Felisa. It continued with a meeting with President Luca di Montezemolo who marked the occasion by handing the king a piston from a V10 F1 engine.

King Yang di-Pertuan Agong XII and the Malaysian delegation, accompanied by President Montezemolo, toured the Nuova Meccanica, the Galleria del Vento and the Padiglione Assemblaggio Vetture, chatting to the technicians as they passed through.

The guests then transferred to Fiorano where the King made some laps of the track on board various Ferraris, among them a 575 M Maranello, a Challenge Stradale and an Enzo Ferrari.

To round things up, the delegation observed the different Formula 1 departments at work in the Gestione Sportiva.
