Things to look out for this weekend
at the Goodwood Festival of Speed:
Spectators will be excited by the sight of Luca
Badoer, the Scuderia’s test driver, when he takes a World
Championship-winning car up Goodwood Hill, which model has not been
announced. Ferrari is also giving a British debut to the 612 Scaglietti
in the Supercar section. This 540-brake horsepower, 199mph supercar
is actually a four-seater super-cruiser, although that will not
hinder its progress up the Goodwood Hill, twice today and at 1pm
tomorrow and Sunday.
Maserati also makes a debut appearance with a prototype
version of the MC12 GT car. On display in the Supercar Paddock next
to Goodwood House and running tomorrow and Sunday, the 600-horsepower
MC12 can beat the 205mph mark and sprint from zero to 62mph in 3.8sec.
So expect fireworks. |
