Spanish GP - Shell preview - 10th May 18:29pm GMT

FUEL

· Shell will retain its race winning high-power fuel ULG 62L/3, for the third race in succession.

· This Shell V-Power fuel package was introduced in Imola and contributed to Ferrari’s success both at the Italian circuit and in Nurbürgring.

ENGINE OIL

· The current lubricant package has performed very effectively in the 248 F1. Shell will therefore continue in the same vein for the Spanish Grand Prix, providing Schumacher and Massa with engine oil Shell Helix SL-0932 and gearbox oil Shell Spirax L6285.

· Due to the large amount of testing that takes place in Barcelona throughout the year and pre-season period, the Circuit de Catalunya is very familiar to the majority of Constructors including Scuderia Ferrari.

· As such, Shell has also developed a large database of research and extensive knowledge of lubricant performance at this track. This will be key in supporting the Ferrari team over the race weekend.

SHELL FACT

· Due to the large amount of testing carried out by the Constructors at the Circuit de Catalunya, there are probably as many virtual laps simulated, as there are actually driven behind the wheel.
