Day 1 of testing - Fiorano - 5th May 18:33pm GMT

Circuit: Fiorano track, 2.976 km - short course 1.413 km
Driver: Luca Badoer
Car: F2004
Weather: air temperature 15/18 °C, track 18 °C. Overcast.

This morning at Fiorano saw the shakedown of some electronic solutions that Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro could use in the forthcoming Spanish Grand Prix, scheduled for Sunday 9th May at the Catalunya Circuit, near Barcelona.

Badoer completed a total of eight laps, half of them on the short version of the track, none of them timed.

Once again today, Alain Prost was also on track, doing a few runs at the wheel of a Maserati MC12, the Trident marque’s car that will be used in GT races. 'It is always an interesting experience to drive cars of different types,' declared the French driver. 'Yesterday the track was wet nearly all the time, so given that the weather had improved slightly, I was keen to also try the Maserati in the dry.'
