Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro
has chosen to line up with the F2002 car for the forthcoming San
Marino Grand Prix. Today, on a Fiorano track made wet by the rain,
Luca Badoer carried out a shakedown test of one of the three cars
which will be used at Imola. Badoer also continued with development
work on the F2003-GA.
“We know that the F2002 is still very
competitive, as demonstrated in the first three races of this season,”
stated Managing Director of the Gestione Sportiva, Jean Todt. “The
F2003-GA represents a step forward compared to the car which won
the titles last year, but still has some “running-in”
problems. Our aim now, is to give it its race debut in the Spanish
Grand Prix. There is no need to take unnecessary risks, especially
as the F2002 is capable of winning. And that is exactly our aim
and the spirit in which we prepare to race in front of our fans
at Imola.” |
