The Ferrari Store at Maranello
celebrates its first year of business. To commemorate the event,
the official Ferrari shop is preparing for an intense week. From
1000 to 1800 on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April, visitors can try
out for free the Vodafone Racing Truck. This is a perfect simulation
recreating the sensation of what it is like to climb into the cockpit
of an F1 single-seater and race around a track. There will, of course,
be the traditional birthday cake.
There will be also a demonstration of Ferrari
radio-controlled model cars and a sort of full day of racing, with
practice laps, superpole and grand final races. Also, on Saturday
afternoon between 1500 and 1800, the younger fans will be able to
have a go at the electric models on a specially designed track.
Every child that comes into the store will be given a model of a
360 Modena and offered stickers, sweets and balloons.
Two star guests will be making an appearance
during the weekend: the official Ferrari test drivers, Luca Badoer
and Felipe Massa. After testing for a few days at Mugello and Fiorano,
Badoer will be at the store on Saturday afternoon and Massa on Sunday.
The drivers will mingle with the crowds and try out the Vodafone
simulator.
Situated opposite the historic gates of the
factory, the store is noted for its interactive activities thanks
to its innovative technology and references to past successes. Visitors
‘live’ the Ferrari experience.
The events are aimed at those that love Ferrari, from clients to
fans, all drawn by the same passion. The store offers the possibility
to buy licensed products direct from the House of Maranello and
exclusive unique racing memorabilia. |
