First day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working at its two home circuits, Fiorano and Mugello.

No rain, but a wet track in the morning at Mugello, where Michael Schumacher was driving an F2005 and Luca Badoer an F2004 M. The world champion’s programme centred on aerodynamic and set-up work, while the Scuderia’s official test driver concentrated on Bridgestone tyre development. Once the track dried out, the two drivers were able to run continuously. By the end of the day, Michael had done 125 laps (20 on the short version of the track, best time 1’21”694) and Luca did 103 (9 short, 1’22”938.)

The Scuderia continues testing tomorrow with Schumacher and Badoer in Mugello.
