Day 1 of testing - Jerez - 25th Feb 19:05pm GMT

Circuit: Jerez circuit, 4.428 km
Drivers: Michael Schumacher and Luca Badoer
Cars: F2003-GA and F2002
Weather: air temperature 9/10C, track temperature 12C. Variable, with rain in the morning and some sun at the end of the day.

First day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. Michael Schumacher was driving at the Jerez track, switching between the two cars at his disposal. The technical programme centred on electronics and tyres, while continuing with the ongoing development of the new car.

Schumacher did a total of 51 laps; 20 with the F2003-GA (best time 1:25.321) and 31 with the F2002 (best time 1:26.447.) At the end of the day, Luca Badoer did an installation lap with the F2003-GA which he will drive tomorrow, when the Scuderia's official test driver will once again be joined by Michael Schumacher.
