Ferrari star Kimi Raikkonen has reserved judgement on whether his team can challenge for top honours, while alluding to certain "pressure" that is pushing him to succeed.
His team-mate Felipe Massa topped the timesheets on day one of the Barcelona test and the Ferrari F2007 has been among the quickest and most reliable cars through pre-season testing.
Despite this, the Finn is not reading too much into the tests just yet.
"You can't tell until you've run on different tracks and until the Ferrari is in its final configuration," Raikkonen told Gazzetta dello Sport following the Barcelona test, "but we are in a good position.
"We will see how it really looks at the next test, where everyone will have new things for their cars."
The Maranello team ran several updated pieces at Barcelona and are expected to fit an updated suspension specification at the inaugural Bahrain test.
Felipe Massa is content with the progress thus far, saying: "Our new front and rear wings have moved us forwards quite a lot." |
