Ferrari now begin closed test - 16th February 22:41pm GMT

Now Ferrari have completed the 4 days of testing alongside Honda and Toro Rosso, they will now close the circuit to the public and concentrate on another 5
days of intensive testing all by themselves behind closed doors.

With the F2004 and 248 F1, Michael, Luca and Felipe for the rest of the week will carry on with more tyre and aero development. But more interesting is that Ferrari will be trying out a new aero package on the 248 F1 sometime this weekend and its thought that this new package could well put it on par with the current performance level of the F2004 which is currently being tested with a restricted V10 engine.

The F2004 is producing some very quick times at the moment although it is setup to 2004 regulations and a restricted V10 engine so really the times are
abit false. If we can see an improvement in times by the end of the test then we know Ferrari are making progress with the new aero parts.
