Max Mosley, president of motorsport's
governing body, has denied the FIA agreed a deal with Ferrari over
rule changes at a meeting shunned by the other nine F1 teams.
Mosley described the accusation following last month's
meeting as "a fairy tale" which was "without logic".
"If I could, I'd slow them (Ferrari) down,"
said Mosley in an interview published Monday. "There is nothing
worse for Formula One than the same team always winning."
He went on to say that the nine teams would have
no influence over the new rules by staying away from meetings with
FIA.
"Those boycotting will earn nothing through
their tactics," said Mosley. "At the end of 2005, there
will be a new set of rules laid out, which will run until 2008."
Mosley concluded by urging the nine teams to take
part in the next meeting, scheduled for April 15 in Paris. |
