Circuit: "Ricardo Tormo" di Cheste circuit, (Valencia) - 4.005 km Third and final day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working again at the "Ricardo Tormo" Cheste circuit, on the outskirts of Valencia. Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen completed the programme planned for this test, which centred on further understanding the F2008, on reliability and on finding the best set-up for the car. The day in figures is as follows: 88 laps for Kimi (best time 1.11.189) and 96 for Felipe (1.11.831). The Scuderia will be back on track on 4th February, at the Sakhir circuit in Bahrain, running until the 6th and then back again at the same venue from 9th to 11th.

Trulli, Button, Hulkenberg, Kovalainen, Vettel, Bourdais and Raikkonen all on track. 13:20 - Raikkonen's last 3 laps before coming in: 1:11.375, 1:11.442, 1:11.696. 13:13 - Fisichella's last 3 laps: 1:14.802, 1:14.548, 1:14.773 13:12 - Vettel's last 3 laps: 1:13.975, 1:13.665, 1:13.742. 13:05 - Kovalainens last 2 laps: 1:11.206, 1:11.315. 13:03 - Raikkonens last 3 laps: 1:11.921, 1:11.945, 1:11.897. 13:02 - Kovalainen goes second. 12:57 - New best for Piquet but the track has gone quiet. 12:53 - Fisichella, Trulli, Kubica all putting in fast lap times. Kubica on a role and putting in quick lap after another. 1:12.148, 1:12,139. 12:43 - Hulkenberg is setting his fastest laps. 1:13.995, 1:14.378, 1:14.165. 12:37 - Button improves on his personal best but still well away from the rest of the pack. 12:31 - Red Bull are packing up and shipping out. 12:00 - Piquet sets a new personal best. 11:55 - Kovalainen's past 3 laps: 1:13.738, 1:13.089, 1:12.817. Nakajima, Hamilton, Kovalainen, Bourdais, Piquet, Trulli and Kubica are on track. 11:52 - Kogure improves his time by a second. 11:50 - Fisichellas laps are: 1:13.116, 1:13.574. Kovalainen heads out. 11:47 - Raikkonens laps are: 1:11.608, 1:11.939 and 1:11.906. Fisichella improves his time again. Nakajima and Piquet rejoin the track. 11:45 - Heidfeld puts in two very quick laps and puts him upto 4th while Fisichella goes out and on his first lap improves his time. 11:42 - Button sets his personal best on his final flying lap. The car looks from the outside to suffer from lack of grip. 11:28 - Air temperature is 12.3C and track temperature is 15.4C so still quite cold. 11:26 - Trulli, Vettel and Hamilton all improving on their previous best. 11:22 - Its Kubica's turn to lower the times as he starts lowering his best time, lap after lap. 11:18 - Fisichella lowers his time yet again. 1:13.928. Glock is the only driver yet to appear. 11:15 - Fisichella leaps up the board with a good effort. 1:14.385. 11:06 - New fastest lap for Raikkonen and still keeps going. Last 3 laps are: 1:11.189, 1:11.489 and 1:11.518. 11:02 - Piquet Jnr on track and each lap going faster. 10:48 - Currently on track: Heidfeld, Webber, Trulli, Kogure, Fisichella, Vettel, Massa. 10:47 - Still quite cold outside with no sign of the sun. Air temperature 11.4C. 10:15 - Bourdais puts it into the gravel trap at the final turn. - RED FLAG 09:34 - An overcast morning with the sun unable to break through the clouds. Outside temperature is 9.2C and track temperature 12.2C. |
