Third
day of testing this week – the first at the Jerez de la Frontera
circuit – for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. Marc Gene took to
the track this morning, working on a development programme of electronics,
new components and tyres.
Testing
ended earlier than anticipated after an off-track excursion for
the Scuderia’s official test driver. The driver was unhurt,
but the car sustained damage to the bodywork and some components:
the necessary repairs took up the rest of the day. Up to that moment,
Gene had covered 36 laps, with a best time of 1.18.248.
Gene
continues testing at this track tomorrow.
