Todt admits to being engaged - 05th January 20:12pm GMT

Ferrari motor racing team boss Jean Todt has admitted he is engaged to glamorous Malaysian action star girlfriend Michelle Yeoh after meeting her parents last week, according to reports.

Todt said the large diamond ring he gave the former Bond girl as a Christmas present was indeed an engagement ring, according to The Star.

"We are happy together which is the most important thing and yes, it (marriage) is an option. Since we are happy together, why not?" he was quoted as saying.

Yeoh took Todt to meet her parents for the first time in her hometown in northern Perak state in Malaysia for Christmas where she was seen wearing the flashy ring. She did not disclose whether they were engaged or planning to get married.

Todt said he had a "very good impression" of Yeoh's parents and family during their meeting. The Hong Kong-based Yeoh is not the only jewel in his eyes.

"I have a son, Nicholas, who is also very important to me, whom I worry about, and I try to establish the best possible communication with both of them (Yeoh and Nicholas)," he added.

Yeoh, a former Miss Malaysia, shot to international fame when she co-starred with Pierce Brosnan in the 1997 James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies" as a tough and beautiful Chinese spy.
