With
the launch of the Sauber having taken place an hour ago live on
the internet, from the first couple of seconds looking at the car
it is clear to see how similar the Ferrari F2003 GA and Sauber C23
is. So just how much on the Sauber is from Ferrari?
Well
the C23 includes a number of Ferrari-esque aspects, including a
significantly more curved nose section, crafted flanks to the sidepods
and similar flick-ups ahead of the rear wheels.
Although
Sauber have claimed that all the ideas have been developed within
there new wind tunnel its very hard to think that Ferrari haven't
just given them the specification drawings of last years F2003 GA.
But
moving away from the aero side of it Sauber will receive 35 new
engines from Ferrari, via its Malaysian partner Petronas this season.
"We
are using the same model engine [as Ferrari] for the first time,"
said Petronas engine chief Osamu Goto. "Despite the new [long-life]
regulations, there has been a weight reduction of the engine."
